Whether it’s a new haircut or a different clothing style, teenagers try all sorts of things to change their appearance. It’s all part of growing up and finding yourself. Unfortunately for one boy, his attempts at changing his appearance went too far. 17-year-old Julian Hamlin purchased colored contacts from his local gas station for just $20. These contacts, not prescribed by a doctor, and not FDA approved caused Julian serious injury. In fact, he’s still recovering from the ten surgeries needed to treat the infections caused by the colored contacts.
